My favourite thing I found recently was a vintage/antique scales. It was a belated birthday present to myself and was obtained from an antique store!!!
Ive been having a bit of a shopping spree of late. Picking up things from my local op shops, the hard rubbish and garage sales. I bought the blue glass for my daughter who may use it for decoration in her room from an op shop. From a different one I got the glass dish. The patterns/books came from a garage sale and they were 20c each. The MDF cutlery box was from the hard rubbish. It is going to be painted white and pink/gold edges. It will then hold my op shopped vintage silver cutlery to use in high tea parties. Im joining up toApron Thrift Girl
These were from the hard rubbish. I have painted the tray white. The timber quilt stand still deciding and have put vintage sheet music paper on a old sewing machine suitcase. Pop over to other great finds at Sophie's
Well its time again to check out the hard rubbish near to my home. I didnt go with any specific ideas but the thrill of the chase and of course, I saw some things and wasnt sure if I should get them but when I decided they were coming home with me I missed out. So this weeks find are what I found today. So the photos are taken with dust and grime on them and where I put them to be sorted out later in the week.I also got a great coffee table and 3 drawer bedside cabinet. A timber clothes hanger and a piano stool to recover. Check out others finds at Sophies too.
Well this weekend I hit the jackpot. I scored a paper mache mannequin from the hard rubbish and she is going to get a total makeover. I couldnt believe someone had left this beauty behind!!!! Make sure you pop over to Sophie's
Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads in Australia, today. Well this will be a long post about all my finds over the last few weeks. Good to see Sophie's back and go to see more great treasures. The most recent finds are from yesterday with finding two cream chenille bedspreads for $3 each and cream caramel blanket $5. I love the glass pedestal and the little pincushion owl and 6 little old keys for different projects.
Just recently I found a horrid picture in a frame at an op shop. I decided it would make a great inspiration board. I finished it and hung it in my bedroom. I can put my fav. vintage cards or doilies and trinkets on it to display!!!
Hi, Im divorced and have 3 great children living in lovely Newcastle. Love scrapbooking and all things to do with shabby chic, collecting old things, going to the op shops and getting my hands on chenille bedspreads.
